It's the End of the Run for this Amazing Little Flower Shop

It’s the last year for the Petal Pusher.

It’s the last year for the Petal Pusher.

As we travel around west central Minnesota, we find good stories everywhere. This one was particularly fascinating!

After more than 40 years in business, the charming little Petal Pushers Garden Center, found about two miles south of Cormorant, is celebrating their last year.

Owner Paula took over the business for her mother and her mother’s friend about 37 years ago. Paula’s friend Dorthea joined to help out about 10 years ago.

This is a seasonal business that brings in people from all over the region along with some friendly hummingbirds. We can imagine it is an annual ritual for many families to buy their flowers and plants from this unique location.

And dig the vibe in these photos!

Paula looks back on her years owning Petal Pushers and recounts that what she will miss most is the wonderful people she got to meet over the years.

That and the fact that she never had to buy her own flowers!

Good luck Paula in retirement!
